There has to be a place to start from.

Does adding

Code:
www.cnn.com/  $SET(sComment=§<ADSPACE:§>begin)

to Exceptions-U fix all pages and break none?

If it does, wouldn't this be a better choice than forcing all users to a specific level?
This code works for me in light mode, in place of the other code to force standard level filtering. I can see though that the TECH page and others make several reload attempts to bring in some elements. And sure, everyone's going to want their favorite site to be handled well by Proxomitron. Being a major worldwide news site, however, maybe cnn.com/TECH (and similar) is one of the places where one could argue that Prox. filters should handle reasonably well out of the box.

I take this back. I just installed the new 10-23 config set and this code does NOT seem to solve the problem for light mode.

Are you sure? That's what I tested with and it still works for me.
New set adds a new Exceptions-U.

Could one argue that "out of the box" is standard level filtering and it works reasonably well at cnn? Wink

Well, I've loaded sidki_oob.ptron from the new set, unchecked the UseSSLeay option in Prox., and added
Code:
www.cnn.com/                      $SET(sComment=§<ADSPACE:§>begin)
to Exceptions-U.ptxt. Flipping back and forth from standard mode to light mode, I find that cnn.com/TECH is blank in light mode. Am I missing anything?

RE: http://www.cnn.com/TECH/
OK, I forgot the oob configuration is set up slightly different. After loading the 2010-10-23 configuration, cnn.com/TECH does display in light mode.
