Stand-alone BOClean Discontinuation

Comodo plans on integrating BOClean into Comodo Antivirus and discontinuing a stand-alone version. I've removed BOClean from my system as I cannot be bothered to install CAV when I already have an antivirus that I'm very happy with. |

Been using Comodo internet security for a while now. It combines their firewall with their AV; works very well. I'm a real fan of their firewall. If BOClean is going to be incorporated with this software, I look forward to it.
 I should ad that as far as I know Comodo no longer offers their fw or av as separate software. http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/index.html |

Well I guess you can install either or. The new offering is excellent imo, and is the product I use and install for family and friends. Free to boot, for most users anyway; some should get pro depending on skill set and needs.

by biggest problem right now is keeping my brother off of mom and dad's PC...
i keep installing antivirus, he keeps taking it off, telling them "as long as you don't click any links you shouldn't, you don't need this, it's only eating up resources"... okay, true, in and of itself... but when mom and dad's PC takes a crap, he's not the one left "rebuilding" it...

I'll definitely miss BoClean when it's no longer functional. My parents have gotten used to seeing its definitions having been updated and they call me when it doesn't.
There's not many security apps that still run on Win98SE with a dial-up connection. |
