I really like Starup Control Panel and Starup Monitor from Mike Lin's site.

Both very nice programs ; Mike Lin's Start Up Monitor is really neat since it uses very little resources and does as good a job as SpyBot's "Teatimer" , a real resource hog . End it All ver. 1.0 http://www.compu-docs.com/links.htm is a must have program to close all running programs with one click rather than C/A/D ; the latest version is too big and complex .

I 've looked at several index.dat deletion programs and Milly's Winclean tops them all : http://www.imilly.com/winclean.htm

Milly's Winclean looks pretty good. I use Slimbrowser most of the time and it autocleans everything upon exit, but when I use IE, i use http://www.danish-shareware.dk/soft/emptemp/ which does a nice job.

MruBlaster is also very good at cleaning index.dat in fact if you're going to places you don't want anyone to know about you can set it to securely delete index.dat with as many passes as you see fit. http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/mrublaster.html
