Now that we encourage guests to hang around here without the need to register (which is a good thing imo)...
Can we change the default forum theme to something else? The current one is what you see on a couple of thousand other pages as well and soo boring. My fav would be Eos Expanded, but any other nice theme that keeps things easily readable would do as well. ![]() Is there a mod to add back the "new posts since today, yesterday,..." link? I think it was also a nice thing for members. Sometimes i quickly look for something and then come back later with more time, but then the "View posts since last visit" list is already wiped out. sidki |

I've changed the default skin to "Iris Expanded"
![]() You should now see "View topics since last visit" and "View posts since last visit" on the top right corner of the index page. It's the closest MOD I could find, but hopefully it's sufficient enough

That theme is fine too, could perhaps use another top logo, but at any rate better than the 08/15 subSilver.

Kye-U;
Unless I'm grossly mistaken, MODs are nothing but php scripts. Take a close look at the MOD under discussion. Sick Shea on it, and I'll bet that he can modify the script to meet sidki's request. Oddysey I'm no longer in the rat race - the rats won't have me! |

Actually, I would guess that the mod Kye-U added would be better than what sidki is asking for. Sidki just wants it to tell him that posts he hasn't read from today or yesterday, but lets say he's out sick for a week, a lot of posts wouldn't show up on it. But with kye-U's mod, it shows the new posts since his last visit so if he was sick for a week, it would show all the posts he missed. But I have a question, does the mod show all the unread posts from your last visit or all the posts from your last visit? Because, if you didn't read all the posts on your last visit, it might not show those because they were there on your last visit and it's just showing the ones since our last visit.
{=(~::[Shea]::~)=} How 'bout you sideburns, you want some of this milk? This fading text is pretty cool, eh? I bet you wish you had some. |

Quote:..... does the mod show all the unread posts from your last visit or all the posts from your last visit?Yeah, your question is a good one. I can't test it right now, but I'll try to think of it before I go off trolling through the threads, next time I log on. Kye-U; I notice that as I try out each theme, the possible actions that appear below the theme drop-down are different from skin to skin. You know, the "View....." stuff. They aren't consistent from one theme to the next. I don't think you intended that, did you? Oddysey I'm no longer in the rat race - the rats won't have me! |

Guests cannot log in, because - uhm - they are guests. ![]() The "View posts since last visit" was always there, if you don't click it upon your first visit, then the list gets wiped. What the installed mod added is "View topics since last visit", it can be of use for someone, but not for guests because of above mentioned reason. It was just a question. If there isn't such a mod, okay. ![]() sidki |

Could you add a link to mark all forums read at the bottom of the page? I usually scroll down through all the forums to see which ones are orange meaning I haven't read them and then I click the mark all forums read button because I usually don't read all the forums. It's kind of a hassle to scroll al the way to the top to mark them read. Even if there was a button on the bottom to go to top, that would be enough.

The problem is that I'll have to make buttons for each individual skin, and I don't have the fonts used. But I'll see what I can do

Kye-U, I'll take a shot at the DL images. You don't necessarily have to make them say DL, you could just have like an arrow pointing down or something.

OK, I made one for Eos Expanded because that's the skin I use. I can do them for others too.
