Server Migrated
We have migrated to another (paid) host due to some issues with our previous host.
Please let me know if you have any questions/comments (e.g. if this host feels faster (or slower) than our previous one). |

RE: Server Migrated
Subjectively feels faster to me, nothing to back it up though.

RE: Server Migrated
yeah, always kinda hard to quantify...
everything seems OK and any "speed improvements" are likely just "in our heads"... you know, show me several different colorful pictures of butterflies and then pop up a black ink-blot of a BAT... no matter how convincingly you try to tell me it's a BAT, i will swear up-and-down that it's a BUTTERFLY |

RE: Server Migrated
I did some tests (ping), and the new server has a latency of 40ms versus the 70ms on our old host. But then again, this doesn't really provide any substantial quantification

RE: Server Migrated
12 hours ago could not get access to website (perhaps you did maintenance), it only showed an error page. Now all is working well gain.

RE: Server Migrated
I had to go into the database and repair the Sessions table. The exact message was: "Table '_sessions' is marked as crashed and should be repaired"
I will continue to monitor this and have a likely workaround if it happens again. |
