I put solving this to the side for a few days PR. Just not in the mental mood to tackle it right now. I want to extract "prox-config-sidki_2011-12-22rc1" into Prox's folder again and run it but I don't know when. Will take your advice and look in the log window to see if there is anything odd when I do though. At the moment I'm using the 2010-10-23 config and it works fine. Will update the forum on how this goes. You're a good dude for trying to help. Thank you for your patience... salute to ProxRocks. |

RE: prox-config-sidki_2011-12-22rc1
Hi everybody. I hope you are doing well.
Just an update on my CPU problem. I unzipped the new config (prox-config-sidki_2011-12-22rc1 ) once more over top of itself in Proxo's folder and loaded it up and went online and this time the CPU was working fine within normal range which is normally under 10% when surfing from website to website. So everything is fine and much respect to JJoe, ProxRocks and the rest of you. It may be the first unzip didn't complete properly, but who knows. Thank you and I just wanted to let you know it was not the config. PEACE. PS, if I wanna tweak my username do I have to register again? |

Thanks friend, but the link led me to this page: "You do not have permission to access this page. Are you trying to access administrative pages or a resource that you shouldn't be? Check in the forum rules that you are allowed to perform this action. You are currently logged in with the username: 'apacallyps'" NOTE: It's me again. I don't know if you meant to include the question mark (?) with the link JJoe, so I tried clicking it with and without, with no success. I don't see a "change name" option in my Edit Profle. I might need Administrator priviledges for that (or am I missing it?). Kinda hoping I do not have to register again to tweak my username. Peace to all Proxomitron users. |

Btw, I looked for a "Change Username" above "Change Password" in my "User Control Panel" page and it wasn't there. These are my options: Your Profile Edit Profile Change Password Change Email Change Avatar Change Signature Edit Options Looks like I have to re-register to tweak my username. Oh well, respect to all Proxomitron users. I salute you! . |

RE: prox-config-sidki_2011-12-22rc1
Hello,
I'm sorry if this has been asked and explained before, but searching the forums (or Google) for "https+:" seems to ignore the + and : characters. I just started learning how this filter set works and stumbled upon this "https+:" expression that is used in several filters. My understanding would be that this matches https: or httpss: or even httpssssss:, but I've actually never seen more than one s character in the protocol. Could you please shed some light on the purpose of this plus sign? Thanks. Regards |

Limiting its ability to match more than one s is unnecessary in this instance, might slow down filtering, and would require more typing. "s+" matches a run of s or 'nothing'. HTH |

RE: prox-config-sidki_2011-12-22rc1
Thank you for the quick response. Yes, that helps. I always thought that the meaning of the plus sign is "one or more". Good to know it is "zero or more".
Can you confirm that https+: is equivalent to http[s]+:, i.e. does that "zero or more" logic also hold true when a set consisting of one or more characters is used? Regards |

Logic is the same. I'd expect [s]+ to be slower than s+, however. Also, "(prox-)+config" matches "prox-config" or just "config". HTH |

Hi,
the Log-Rare.log file upload on http://prxbx.com/sidki/ is outdated. I miss the version 2011-12-22rc1 or it ceases to be used for development? cU, chatterer |

I always sent sidki the file, when I thought it would help. So, that detail was missed. I don't think I can fix it. Version 2011-12-22rc1 was created from forum posts and personal experience. So, version 2010-09-19 submissions would still be relevant. There have not been many submissions, however. Attempts to update the set were interrupted. |

RE: prox-config-sidki_2011-12-22rc1
I just wanted to say thank you for an amazing filter set. For a long time I've used Proxomitron with Andrew's Security Filter and several individual filters found here. While updating Andrew's to ProxBlox, I saw the reference to Sidki's config pack, downloaded this version and merged ProxBlox into it. This combination is incredible! I'm still trying to grasp its capabilities.
