Picking apart Proxo
Sorry for any confusion, got sideswiped by reading a topic in the issues forum but this should actually better be posted here...

Picking apart Proxo

been reading this section and learned Proximodo is dead on its back...

Question: has anyone ever attempted to reverse engineer/pick apart the existing Proxomitron to somewhat readable source code? (i.e. no assembly)

I know Scott was very much against this while alive, but I feel that he would welcome any attempt to make sure his legacy continued.

I know he was not in a position to make the source public because he licensed part of his filter engine to a commercial blocker, but if this ultimately requires doing what he was against while alive, would this be going against his wishes?

EDIT: 404 error, but can be downloaded here http://www.sourcefiles.org/System/Daemons/Proxy/

Or maybe someone reading us with some c++ skills would like to help us a few and follow the good work Kuruden did. I think it is easier than it seems, maybe is only debugging the current release and adding a few functions more... someone voluntary?

Please, please, please, please, please... of course i would help to document anything wich would be needed.
