Yahoo mail acting weird
Suddenly, yahoo mail (classic) is acting weird for me.
In the compose window, clicking on 'send' or 'attach files' and some other buttons does nothing.
I have been using sidki's latest (Feb 13) release in light mode (oob.ptron produces the same results).
Are others are seeing this too? Any help appreciated.

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
i haven't been able to get it to work by simply deactivating certain filters...

all i can figure is all of the "if" statements causing the footer-noted .js errors...

if ya got a sec, maybe it's something your eyes are keen to seeing that mine are overlooking...

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
I moved to Sidki to test it, but for me is working well, maybe is for being the spanish version.
BTW they have a new div, the messenger, maybe it is causing some problems...

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
This is likely unrelated to the Proxo filter issue, but might be worth mentioning ...

With my proxy I am removing all Yahoo crud that follows /body. They're putting tons of scripts in those invalid places, breaking standards and looking more like some malware appendage. Things work better without that extra crud.

Today I noticed one of my @yahoo (classic) showed only the top links bar and little else. It turns out that some inline scripts were writing iframe content and the script's text contained the /body and /html tags in a couple of places. Those values were fooling my filter into cutting off the page HTML content way too early.

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
The config is removing post-html code at Yahoo Mail too, but that apparently wasn't the problem here.

soccerfan, try adding below entry to one of the IncludeExclude lists:
Code:
mail.yimg.com/d/combo\?*/darla.js    $SET(0=a_adfn1.a_adfn2.)

I've only tested with the "Attach Files" button (English, Classic).

Added it to my IncludeExclude-U and so far so good. Many thanks.
I'll report back if problems arise.

Edit: I also figured out how to give thanks in this forum. Yay!

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
Hi ... Just today I realize my Yahoo Mail buttons no longer work ... can't send an e-mail. I don't understand where to put the fix.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
soccerfan, try adding below entry to one of the IncludeExclude lists:

Code:

mail.yimg.com/d/combo\?*/darla.js $SET(0=a_adfn1.a_adfn2.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------

.. . I didn't see any Include/Exclude lists in the Web Page tab. The reply back was "Added it to my IncludeExclude-U and so far so good" ... exactly where is that ?

thanks ...

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
your config's "Lists" directory has a folder named "sidki_l_2009-02-13" (assuming you are using the latest release)...

within that "sidki_l_2009-02-13" folder are several ".ptxt" (by default) files, you will see the IncludeExclude-U file in that folder...

it will open with your standard text editor but not necessarily by "double-clicking it"... open your text editor and have it open the file by browsing to it...

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
ProxRocks ...

... hey, thanks for the info. I found everything, actually two "Include/Exclude files in that folder ... you mention this one out of the two so I guess that is the one I should work with.

.... IncludeExclude-U file ....

I opened it and now am not sure where to put the newer file.

I have this numbered listing in that Include/Exclude file ....

Contents:
#
# 1 MULTIPLE KEYWORDS
#
# 2 EXCLUDE (ALLOW, BYPASS)
# 2.1 GENERAL
# 2.2 ADVERTISEMENTS - GENERAL
# 2.3 ADVERTISEMENTS - SPECIFIC
# 2.4 ADVERTISEMENTS - JAVASCRIPT
# 2.5 JAVASCRIPT
# 2.6 COOKIES
# 2.7 TRACKING
# 2.8 REDIRECTS
# 2.9 LINKS
# 2.10 OBJECTS (FLASH, MOVIES, ...)
# 2.11 OTHER
#
# 3 INCLUDE (BLOCK, FAKE, SITE-SPECIFIC)
# 3.1 GENERAL
# 3.2 ADVERTISEMENTS
# 3.3 JAVASCRIPT
# 3.4 COOKIES
# 3.5 REFERRER
# 3.6 USER-AGENT
# 3.7 OTHER
#
# 4 REDIRECT URLS (ALIASES)
# 4.1 ALL
#
# 5 ADDED BY PROXOMITRON
#
# See "IncludeExclude.html" for a more detailed overview.

----------------------------------------------------------------
.... so do I put exactly this information where?

-----------------------------------------------------------
Code:

mail.yimg.com/d/combo\?*/darla.js $SET(0=a_adfn1.a_adfn2.)

-----------------------------------------------------------

I guess I put the word "Code" along with the "mail.yimg" line together into the Include/Exclude file ... do I create a new number like 2.12 or 3.8 labeled "Code" ... have no idea what to do next ... Yes, I am using the latest Sidki 02-13-2009 release.

thanks ...

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
just put this ONE line (NO code, the "Code:" bit is a FORUM thingy, notice that the content is within a "box" within the post) all the way at the BOTTOM of your IncExc-U file using your text editor, save the file upon exiting your text editor, RELOAD the Proxo config so the new IncExc-U gets loaded...

your ONE line withOUT the FORUM "code" tag:
mail.yimg.com/d/combo\?*/darla.js $SET(0=a_adfn1.a_adfn2.)

your ONE line WITH the FORUM "code" tag:
Code:
mail.yimg.com/d/combo\?*/darla.js $SET(0=a_adfn1.a_adfn2.)
