RE: Sidki's filters block ZA free download
Ahh....thanks. That was a floating layer it was removing. I've used Sidki's filters for over three years and never before encountered either of those that would give that message.
As for the bypass issue, usually I just refresh the page after either unchecking Web Filters or checking Bypass. Maybe sometimes I should be closing the browser and reopening? I wonder if that varies by browser or what? Having to close Fx with 45 tabs loaded so I can bypass Proxo for one tab is not something I want to do. That's ok for IE or Opera where I don't have many tabs loaded. Plus, if I had to close Fx and then reopen with Proxo bypassed what a mess that would be with 45 tabs and all of them trying to load third party cookies and Fx popping up an "ask me" box about each cookie...it would take forever to load all the tabs. I know I can switch configs and not need to close the browser and then reopen so bypassing/unchecking Web Filters should also work without needing to shut down the browser. But on IE, I can't have 0 cache and I didn't think about it there. IE6 on my host XP machine wouldn't work there. IE8 on a virtual machine running XP Pro worked there ok but I did forget that IE has a cache...dumb but easy to do since I haven't had a cache for the other browsers in a long time. |
