RE: Configuring Firefox for Proxomitron
Nevermind, I figured out what I was doing wrong... using " " marks around localhost . The helpfile had a section for other browsers & I must have used that when configuring it in the past. I copied and pasted "localhost" not realizing I should have left out the " " .
Anyway, here's how I did it for Firefox 12.0 Tools > Options > Advanced (tab) > Settings (button) (in the Connection section... Configure how Firefox connects to the Internet) I then selected the radio button for "Manual proxy configuration" and then in the box after " Http proxy: localhost and port: 8080 I'm going to try to put the same two entries in the boxes following the SSL Proxy I've typically had to disable the proxomitron &/or use Internet Explorer for secure pages in the past. Maybe this will let me continue using Firefox in some or all of those situations. I certainly hope so. |
