RE: HTTPS on PrxBx
i can't say as i see any "need" for HTTPS...

*unless* that's how we get rid of the one-time-only posters that post "spam", be it in the forum or be it via private messages, and then NEVER EVER log in EVER again...

ie, if they "had to" jump through an HTTPS thingie when they signed up their "i will only use this ONCE" username, would we have "weeded out" that riff-raff?

i have a username/password on a few sites that get *BLOCKED* and i need to click a link for a new password to be e-mailed to me... the "block" happens "automatically" if i don't log into the site during a seven-day period...

ie, if i don't visit prxbx again until a MONTH from today, i would be "blocked" until i signed in with the new password that is mailed to me...

i'm not saying we need to do that - for one, our "riff-raff" has narrowed down significantly since our last forum software upgrade...
