RE: Youtube high quality?
Looks like the video server has changed. I see either *.*.googlevideo.com or a Google IP address. The quality param there is "itag" instead of "fmt". Same param values.
However, when i try to change non 18/22 formats to 18 or 22, i get a "403 Forbidden" response. I guess that's because the new "signature" param is a hash of the other params and needs to match. Anyway, you could simply fake the Youtube preferences (PREF) cookie. The setting for HQ is "vq=2". The returned video is the one you also get by pressing the "HQ" button, if present. But *only* if that format still allows fast-forwarding to a not yet downloaded spot. Or it's all entirely different, and i just haven't looked at it thoroughly enough. ![]() Regarding sidki-configs: Personally, living outside US/Canada, i'm also tired of always seeing the "Suggested Language / Suggested Country Filter" box. So, i'm suggesting this IncludeExclude entry: Code: www.youtube.com/ $SET(0=f_cookie.)$SET(sCookieP=1)$SET(sCookieF=PREF=gl=US&hl=en&vq=2)Those who prefer localized Youtube versions, e.g. Spanish, could still get there by entering/bookmarking either http://www.youtube.es/ or http://www.youtube.com/?gl=ES&hl=es |
