Am I right in assuming that just the following three filters from sidki's config set need to be disabled:
1. The Toggle Left NavBar filter (now incorporated directly)
2. the "Google Black Bar to Navy" filter (now incorporated directly)
3. "Google Images: Direct Links" filter (now incorporated directly)

correct... those three need disabled...

oh, and the original Alternate Display and Google Theme, of course (but you knew that, just saying it out loud for anyone new to these filters Smile! ...)


oh, and i just noticed, technically we don't need "part 1" [Alt Disp 1], but rather the "original" 'Google: Multi URL Untangler' just needs edited to kick in before any <li> tags...
it doesn't hurt to have them both, so no worries...
and we should keep the Multi URL Untangler as generic as possible and keep it isolated to <a*>...

Alt Disp 2 now adds another background color (FTP results)...
Alt Disp 5 now removes the crapola about removing less relevant results...

(oh, and i've renamed the "Google Search:" part of all of them to just "Google:", but no need to resubmit them all here just for that...)

Google is in-process of making "more" god-forsaken changes, "we know it isn't broken, but we're fixing it anyway"...

this is tested ONLY in GreenBrowser, will not test in other browsers for a week or so, 'cause we all know that once Google starts fixing something that isn't broken, they will continue to throw out 'fixes' for SEVERAL more days... but now that we're faking an IE user-agent anyway, it "might" still work in other browsers anyway...

SafeSearch notice re-hidden
sponsored ads table removal tweaked
"News for" colorization tweaked
Map results colorization tweaked
LeftNav toggle faded to make it less distracting
added a color bar for misspelled searches
corrected URL-detangler to prevent 404s

plans -
add search bar at the bottom of the page
open images/videos inside an iframe within the results page
improve location of LeftNav toggle on "downscaled" screen resolutions


edit: reminder, these changes only tested in GreenBrowser so far...

this improves the "positioning" of the LeftNav Toggle 'triangle'...

also note that you no longer have to use the 'triangle' itself but you can click on any 'dead space' between the "about XYZ,000 results" and the "advanced search" text to toggle the LeftNav...

i now toggle the i-never-use-it Top Nav Bar...

the Pastel Theme filter is renamed to "Google: Alt Disp 9 - Pastel Theme 12.04.25 {PFR} [add]", no changes to it other than the name...

only non-GB i've tested in is Opera and the as-is above does not work in Opera, i see "why", id=gog vs id=gb... but since "Disp 6" targets gog for cosmetic alignment, further work needs done for it to work in Opera...
