So, here I am. Thank you all for you welcomes Big Teeth

Jak was asking if Proximodo could monitor other ports than 80 (hhtp) and 443 (ssl). I definitely must spend some time browsing the forums, as I missed many discussions. My first thought is "yes, it could". Technically speaking, Proximodo will do what we make it do and be what we make of it. What other protocols would be worth monitoring? pop3 maybe?

I have not yet implemented ssl support, though it is of course planned. I started this project in october, so be patient, I need to familiarize with ssleay/openssl libraries first. And if you know a bit about C++ development, why not working on the sources? Hail

Shea is wondering what's wrong with the proxy. You tell me! I just meant I have not yet fully tested it and I know there are a few issues to solve (see TODO.txt in the source package).

But don't worry, nothing terrible. That's the first public version, all right, but it is working quite well already and much better than many older projects I've seen. And with your feedback and help, it cannot but improve.

Hi "Kuruden",
I feel that we all are very fortunate that You have picked up the "banner" on the Proxomitron so to speak. As I have often said, "All of us together are a whole lot better than any one of us alone". And the more that we share, the more we are all the better for it. Smile!
Yes I am very interested in being able to monitor some of the other protocols. And thank You for the speedy reply.
Have a Great & Wonderful Day,
Best Wishes,
"Jak" [smoke]
