Q about "Protect: CSS Comments" filter. - Toppy - Apr. 10, 2010 02:33 AM

Hi,

I have a question about the "Protect: CSS Comments 07.06.15 (dmp) [jd sd] (d.r)" Webpage filter.

Are there any reasons why we should not disable this filter please ? Other filters clashing, webpage misrendering, ... ?

The reason I'm asking is that I would like to switch it off, since on some requests this filter is something fired over 100 times for 1 response, which (seems to me) make the webpage rendering slower.

At first site, disabling this filters doesn't seem to give any problems for a bunch of sites i tried it on.

Are there any special things we should know about before browsing around with this filter disabled ?

Thanks.Smile!

The r in (d.r) indicates that it is required by other filters.
The filter hides (protects) code from the other filters.
This prevents other filters from incorrectly matching and may speed things up.
