- Kye-U - Mar. 07, 2004 07:11 PM Is there anything missing or not comfortable? Please post your thoughts here! They will be greatly appreciated! - ProxRocks - Mar. 09, 2004 09:48 PM I have a filter that blocks "off-site" and what I call "under-site" images... If the image does not have the EXACT same host as the page itself, then those images are not loaded... Which means, for example, that ...i-mg s-rc='style_images/1/t_reply.gif' border='0' a-lt='Reply to this topic'... is filtered out and replaced with [Reply]... The image does not originate from the website host - therefore, in my eyes, is a webbug... This may or may not be true, point is, it's true for me, therefore filtered out and replaced with text... Which brings me to why I bring it up - with this particular filter bypassed on this forum, I recieve a security alert security certificate warning on this site - a warning I "should" only be getting if I enter into a https:// site... Therefore, the question becomes - WHY is this site trying to do something via https://? For so it seems to be the case - but I "could" be wrong... - ProxRocks - Mar. 09, 2004 10:00 PM Tracked it down... It's that PayPal image - blocked by the "under-site" filter... - Kye-U - Mar. 10, 2004 03:54 AM Hahah, well, it's safe to completely bypass [^/]++cheatandwin.com/~proxo/* Oh, BTW, are you still experiencing Attachment downloading problems? |
