They claim it's 3x faster than Firefox.
Its interface is very similar to that of Google Chrome, which is a good thing for me.

The memory usage, however, is pretty high (it's around 223,000 K for me right now).

One thing to report though: Sidki's config pack works fine (AFAICT, as far as I can tell Wink)
d/l'd... will try out in a VOS, most likely not 'til the weekend tho...

first observation (FileHippo download sizes) -
Google Chrome 1.0.154.48 = 501KB
Maxthon 2.5.1.4751 = 4.95MB
Netscape 9.0.0.6 = 5.78MB
Opera 9.63 = 6.43MB
Firefox 3.0.6 = 7.17MB
Safari 4 Beta = 25.46MB

not sure why it needs to be so HUGE !!!
I don't want Coverflow, but i want speed and is very nice to see they have a javascript engine 57'43% faster than FF3.1b2, but also seems the Tracemonkey developing is not near to end. Personally, I prefer to wait one or two months more and have a good release. I can't think in surfing without FF because of the number of customizations i applied it.

That was me two month ago. Now I am happily using opera!
At first glance, Safari is a plain-seeming browser, but, as soon as you start typing in web addresses or entering a search term, things pick up. If you were already using Apple Safari as your web browser, the Top Sites tab should already be populated; if not, you might want to start by having a look at what Apple deems Popular.
